Craziest reasons co-workers got fired?

First, no I did not miss them when they were gone. I did not really know her well.

This is a former job I worked back in 2014. Of the many things I hated about it, them posting people's personal numbers was one of them. It was so we could call each other to try to switch shifts, work for, blah. I never called anyone and I didn't want anyone to call me. Been down that bridge of working for people and them not returning the favor. Anyway, I was off, get a text from the girl whose name I don't even remember now, let's call her Becky. Becky asks me can I work for her that day(my day off)because her mom's having a birthday party. I said no naturally and that was that. Next day at work, the gossiping hens were talking about Becky, that relatives of hers came to the job saying it was an emergency about her mom being in the hospital so she had to leave work. Of course I remembered what she texted me about the birthday party and I couldn't be sure
if something had not happened to her mom so I kept my mouth shut. Besides it was none of my busy. Turns out Becky texted one other person to try to cover her shift saying the same thing she said to me, that person was close to one of the full time leads who kissed butt with the store manager. It was a big thing with the store manager calling Becky to fire her.

I can't say I agree or disagree, wasn't my business.

Well.........somebody that I worked with got fired for smoking crack while backstocking in the backroom

Not gonna lie, I kinda did miss him, he was a pretty good worker

1. Fired for stealing a live demo phone off the wall and letting his wife use it while traveling. This was back when cell phone plans were regional so she racked up a large long distance bill - didn’t take the manage long to figure out whodunnit. Didn’t miss him, we never gelled on a personal level. 2. Fired for crediting a girls bill each month, she was cute, but the guy doing it thought he could get away with it by submitting multiple small credits, he couldn’t & was fired. I missed him at work, we’re still friends nearly 20 years later. 3. Sleeping with our sales director. They both got fired. Didn’t miss either of them.
