Id rather have a tratidional resting place where people can come visit me..

Not me being burned up and stuck in a bowl to be a decoration on someones mantle. My grandma who passed away wanted to be cremated and her final resting place is a tiny little square on a wall in a cemetery.

No...I take that back! Actually! i want to be Buried....

I want a Pearl colored Casket with Pearl colored linens and an Anchor embroidered on the inside of the top opening.... I want my Casket Bearers to be Sailors in Dress Whites...and of course if I retire a flag draped over my casket!

I don't plan on dying, so not really sure.

If I do die, I guess I want something really random to happen to me. Like being thrown out of a plane into the sea? I really don't know.

Out of the two listed though, I'd choose to be buried, probably.

I don't have a wife, and probably never will, so that one's out. Sucks being female and straight!

I would like to be blown up. Then have my remains scraped together and set on fire, then have my ashes taken into outer space. Or not.

And like Nebulous, I want a big fat grave, not some little slot in the wall. That way I get to feel a little more important. Not that I would, since I'd be dead.

Where's the immortality option?

Or, if that fails, the I'll get uploaded and haunt the web for ever option?

I like that one. I want to do this, too.

But if that fails, then buried. XD

All Veterans rate the flag--whether they retire or not. And they make caskets that are for military--I've never seen one specific to the Navy--but they probably make those too.

That's cool.

That particular model is a bit pretentious for me. Daddy's and my brother's were a bit more sedate. plain blue exterior, with a flag embroderied on the interior.

Daddy's was full military--complete with honor guard (21 guns), bugler, and chaplain.

But as far as buried over sprinkled cremated remains goes--for some it's important to have a place to go and visit. Some don't care. I think the feelings of the deceased as well as the family are taken into consideration.

Im getting cremated. Although it was not my decision. I personally dont care as long as its done with me intact (I'm not an organ donor)

Funny, I really LOVE watching the Thunderbirds (painted onto the casket. I think they are the Thunderbirds; if not, then the Blue Angels) but I think that one is a bit pretentious, too. It's boastful, in my mind.

I don't know for sure, but I would think that it's representing the 'missing man' formation which is a part of the funeral service for Air Force pilots. Could be either one of those teams though, if it's not the missing man.....

Where did that new poll choice come from? I actually LOL'ed.

I want to be buried.. And not in one of those fancy coffins many people are buried in. Any wooden coffins would be fine. I don't want to put my family in debt, because of my death. In the end, the coffin doesn't matter. But that's just me. I don't want anything fancy.

I'd say buried. my great-gransfather was an avid hunter and fisher, and when he died there was a pair of deer in two corners and a pair of fish in the other two. there was no flag for him, and he was a WWII veteran. he didn't talk about it much, tho. it was like he was trying to pretend that none of it had ever happened.

3rd option..Just kidding

But I'd like to be buried. I think it would be weird for my friends and family to be going to my funeral with no one in the casket.
