Do you think its wrong or spammy for people to post the same exact topics on multiple forums? Or do you think its an alright thing to do?

Ive been called a spammer before for posting the same topic on a couple forums. I don't see how that makes me a spammer, a good discussion idea posted in different communities can generate whole different discussions because different people are discussing it.

If someone copied/pasted a topic they thought was interesting on here, I wouldn't mind at all. It probably happens all the time and I dont even know it.

Perhaps I was guility of this in the past when I did packages on forums. But in my view there isn't anything wrong with it. At the end of the day you are creating discussion on the said forum if it wasn't there before.

I don't see how thats a bad thing.

I don't find anything wrong with it as long as you are copying/pasting a topic you have created. If you copy/paste a topic in which the author had changed it up by using their own words then you would be guilty of plagiarism.

This.

I consider spam as posting something useless just to up your post count or start a flame war or something. But this is a case where you're really interested in a topic so you want to draw different responses. In the end, it gets members active on the forum so what's the problem?

Guess I'll just agree with all of the above.

There's no real reason for anyone to even know...

I don't mind at all how topics are done on Movie Hotel. So long as it sparks discussion then it's fine.
