The Swiss adventurer Yves Rossy dons a jet suit and flies in formation with two Albatross jets over the Swiss Alps.

The 51-year-old former pilot, who calls himself Jetman, took to the skies wearing a 120lb custom-built jet suit over the Alps in formation with the Breitling jet team.

The jet suit has a six-foot wing span and is fitted with four engines that allowed him to reach speeds in excess of 125mph.

The footage shows Rossy jump out of a helicopter wearing the suit before firing it up and accelerating through the sky before lining-up with the two Albatross jets.

Once his formation flight over the Alps was complete the he safely parachuted to the ground.

The former pilot first made headlines in 2008 when he flew his jet suit across the English Channel from France to England.

Jetpacks!

Now to see one take off without a helicopter.

That's a pretty heavy suit he's wearing. Surprised he has time to fire it up and accelerate before he starts to drop. Very cool indeed!
