A dating website with a difference has been set up - for lonely hearts that have stopped beating.

GhostSingles.com has some stunning profiles of potential love interests for the dead, reports Metro.

An easy-to-use search feature allows you to choose between ghosts of people who have died horribly, mysteriously, tragically or suddenly.

One user, Phantom4u, who gives her age as 134, writes on her profile: "Well I've been dead since like 1902 and im SO BORED!!!!

"I just wanna hang out and have fun and see what happens, not looking for anything serious."

Another, who calls herself lonely4ever, writes sadly: "So lonely... so alone... no tears to weep... alone."

The website even has a 'Chat Now' feature but warns that the living are strictly banned from the site, along with zombies and vampires.
