This morning I had to be to work by 6am. I leave the house at 5:45 am.. I go out to start my car and the battery was dead. I thought to myself: Thank god I have that jump starter. So hook up the battery jumper thingy and it did not work! It was fully charged too. I also have jumper cables but nobody around to jump my car. All my neighbors were sleeping as no lights were on at any of the houses around me (it was dark outside so I could tell). So I start attempting to flag down people driving by. Nobody would stop for me.... Or they would stop, look at me, not roll down their window, then drive off.

They probably thought I was insane or an axe murderer or something. Finally after 20 or 30 minutes of humiliating myself, someone finally stopped and gave me a jump. I was late for work and this day is off to a crappy start. The battery is dead as I just tried it so I will have to get another jump to leave work and I will probably head straight to the auto parts store to get a new battery which I can't afford right now.

I cleaned off the corrosion a few days ago and it was working fine (for a couple days). I will check the battery fluid levels... The battery is old so its probably just dying.

Let's hope it's just a quick fix. Depending on the age of the battery, then possibly a new one is needed.

The battery fluid was fine. The battery is dying. Its a wal mart battery and those ones only last a couple years.

Took the battery back to wal mart and tried to get a refund or replacement because it said 3 year warranty on it. I didnt know how old it was, I thought I'd just go in there and try to get a replacement for free. Turns out the battery was 6 years old. They did take like $25 off it though because it the warranty said that I will get at least that much back for returning it to where I bought it. So, it came out to $52 instead of $77. Better than paying full price.

Glad they took the $25 off and you got a new battery!

Yeah I put that money I saved in my gas tank. The car wanted to take the money from me one way or another.
