Did you enjoy going to school?

Not particularly. Well, I felt like I didn't learn half of what I did until I got out of school and did better research. Plus, they never covered certain topics fully.

I did to some degree. However, I struggled a lot with anxiety and depression, which made going to school and finishing homework often very difficult, even up through college. But I managed to survive the cookie-cutter idea of education in this country and got myself a Masters.

It was ok until middle school. Many reasons to hate it.

Social life; the "cool kids"; most of the teachers made it fun.

Elementary school was the worst. Meanest teachers ever. Middle school is much better in terms of “freedom”

Not really. The teachers were too strict and taught nothing of real value and my fellow pupils were asshats.

No. Social anxiety, bullying, being judged for being a nerd, wearing glasses, being into things that weren't "cool," being a diabetic and having to test my sugars during school hours, being...not masculine...school was misery.

Mostly because of one teacher, things were rough. She went out of her way to make things worse for me, acting more like a kid than I did, all because I responded to something she said about me

I didn't enjoy school until my last few years in school and then I started to enjoy it. By the time I had left school, I wished I had enjoyed school more.

You don't realize how fast it goes and how they can be the best times of your life until it's over.

I guess for the most part. Definitely liked the structure. Though disliked school more as I got older though.

I enjoyed learning, and enjoyed my teachers and school staff, but that was it. Otherwise school was a nightmare and I hated it.

If I could go back to school and have it be only me and the teachers, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

For the most part, I enjoyed school, I do feel that they were the best years of my childhood. I would always be eager to go to school and see my friends.

Sometimes I wish I could go back.

See? I enjoyed the routine of going, and the safety of being in a controlled environment that wasn't my home... but I didn't actually enjoy my time there. I grew up in the 90s, a time period which I recall being deeply ignorant and proud of it, too. I was bullied relentlessly because of my ever-dwindling mental health and general anxiety. It was a nightmare I could never wake up from... but I powered through.

Now I find it both hilarious and infuriating how many of my former tormentors think of us as friends. Get real, yo!
