Did you ever get fired from a job?

I got fired from a fast food job when I was a teenager. I was a crappy worker back then and deserved it. They did it in a shady way though. Without telling me they edited & added me to the schedule during my days off and then fired me for not showing up. They said it was my responsibility to check the schedule (even on my days off) and report to work as assigned.

That's classified information. ;)

Yep! My first job I was fired for employee theft. I regret what I did and have become a better person. I learned my lesson from it biiig time. I only had to pay back what I took, then was banned from the store. Lucky all I got done was paying it back and not being charged or thrown in jail.

To be honest, I'm mostly a quitter when it comes to jobs. I quit Simple Simon's Pizza, I quit working as a car detailer, I got FIRED at a gas station that I worked at for a whole month, I quit working for Wal-Mart after 3 years, I quit my job in Florida after my boss offered to have me come work for him in Georgia after Hurricane Michael, and I came back to Missouri and took a job as a phone operator which I've had since 2018.

In my teens and early twenties I was always losing jobs through bad timekeeping so when I met a girl who later became the missus, first I asked her "What are you like for getting up in the mornings?"
She said she was okay at getting up
and that's when I proposed....

edit - add word "met"

That’s good they didn’t take any legal action against you!

If you quit then you don’t get any unemployment 😛

Lol, nice story. :)

I got FIRED at a gas station
Tried working at a gas station but my trainer was a total...you know what. Ended up just no call no showing the rest of my shifts that week. I actually have reapplied at the same place before and got a phone call for an interview. Bet when they find out I am not in the 'do not rehire' list I won't get hired. :P

Once. I worked in a candy store and offered to do some graphic design work for the owner. She proceeded to be entirely unreachable for a week leading up to when this stuff was needed, and as such I couldn't get any feedback from her. When it came to the day they were due, she disliked them and asked why I didn't show them earlier, and told her she had ghosted the whole week and that even if she dislikes them she would still owe me for the service. She disagreed and tried to tell me how graphic design is supposed to work, I sternly told her she was incorrect and stood my ground that she would be paying me, which she disliked so she told me not to come back the next day. I had to threaten her with legal action for payment and even then it was significantly less than what I should've got, but I never intended to go through with the action and just made the threat knowing she was too stupid to check it or call my bluff. Kinda wish the place had gone out of business already because she deserves it, not for this story but a multitude of other things I witnessed over my time there that just beg for karma to come for her.

I was fired from my very first job. I was a waiter at an Italian restaurant. I accidentally broke a wine glass and he fired me. It was probably also due to how socially awkward I was at the time, but the wine glass breakage was the final straw, I suppose.

Nothing worse than an asshole trainer! I am always super patient and friendly while training people.

Did you design all the graphics on your site? If so you're pretty talented. She should have paid you what you're worth!

If I got fired for breaking stuff, I would have been fired several times by now! Accidents happen.

As I said, there was probably more to the story than what I knew, but that apparently was the final straw.

Maybe you just weren't a good fit and he was looking for any reason.
