I guess the donkey is happier now with its new family.
I suppose natural instincts to explore new territories kicked in, assuming they've been treated well. If not, that's another reason to leave.
I was surprised to find that, too. I just 'auto-assumed' that Diesel might be escaping an unhappy/neglected life.
