Off Topix is a well established general discussion forum that originally opened to the public way back in 2009! We provide a laid back atmosphere and our members are down to earth. We have a ton of content and fresh stuff is constantly being added. We cover all sorts of topics, so there's bound to be something inside to pique your interest. We welcome anyone and everyone to register & become a member of our awesome community.
Every forum goes through it, even the super popular ones. People have lives, seasons impact forum traffic, and people's interests change over time, so it's not uncommon for forums to go through ebbs and flows of activity. Promote, get the word out, send out a mass email once in a while to let people know you're still there, and just work on generating content.
Oh you ARE the content of OT . OT thrives because you're driving this bus, and driving it fast!
Aww, thanks ....and some days I feel bad that I didn't do enoughOh you ARE the content of OT . OT thrives because you're driving this bus, and driving it fast!
Oh no, hon, you do so much for OT. I've been here, what? Five minutes the context of the site, and I can see that clearly.Aww, thanks ....and some days I feel bad that I didn't do enough
I am the same way when it comes to my actual IRL job. Everyone tells me I am great, I've been given awards, immaculate performance evaluations every time, etc...but I always beat myself up saying I didn't do enough. Oh well, I suppose thats a good thing.Oh no, hon, you do so much for OT. I've been here, what? Five minutes the context of the site, and I can see that clearly.
A true self-motivator that's never satisfied, love it . Means you'll keep on pushing to do more, never sit on your laurels.I am the same way when it comes to my actual IRL job. For sure.
I dip in activity, lol.
Holidays and vacations mean time off work and more time outside for me.
I learned a long time ago, you have to take breaks or you'll burn out.
I burned out from forums after doing them for 15 years. I left them for quite a while. I'm back but I know how to step away if I need to.
Keep your sanity haha
It happens all the time on forums, especially back during the prime days of forums. I just shrug it off as during the holiday season I suspected and assumed people were dealing with family and other life things for the month. November to December can be slow months IMO.
I felt like during my teen years it did mean more spending time online on forums, websites, etc.Not for me, time off and breaks means I am here more!
It's the unfortunate side effect of forum ownership, lots and lots of lurkers. I lurk on a few forums, some I pop by when I can and try to post, and some I'm a member on, keep tabs on, but don't post unless someone tags me, because of personal reasons. Hopefully you'll get more of the active types inI have a lot of members who don't post anything. They registered, made a few posts, and then disapeared. It sucks really.
I should go on a trip somewhere when I take vacations from work, but I usually just chill at home.
