Have you ever went to play a game in your collection, only to find out that the game had bit or disc rot and it couldn't be played anymore? This unfortunately has happened to me last weekend. I made a wheel to decide on which game I should play that I've never played in my collection, it landed on Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs Death and I tried playing it but my Gamecube wouldn't read the disc. I though the worst at first, that my Gamecube's laser was going out but I grabbed my copy of Sonic Heroes and it worked perfectly fine. I checked the back of the disc and sure enough, there's some residue. Perhaps it isn't disc rot, it could possibly be resurfacing residue but needless to say the game is no good. I was looking forward to playing the game, Gamecube games are not cheap and the disc alone goes for about $30 or more on Ebay. :\
