Researchers say they have found a way to find out:
  • Any simulation of the universe must have limits, and finding these would prove we live in an artificial reality, physicists claim

If the Matrix left you with the niggling fear that we might indeed be living in a computer generated universe staged by a malevolent artificial intelligence using the human race as an energy farm, help is at hand.

A team of physicists have come up with a test which they say could prove whether or not the universe as we know it is a virtual reality simulation - a kind of theoretical red pill, as it were.

Silas Beane of the University of Bonn, Germany, and his colleagues contend that a simulation of the universe, no matter how complex, would still have constraints which would reveal it...

This NASA Scientist also thinks that we could be...

As a philosophical skeptic, I agree with wirelessguru in that I don't rule out the possibility that we are living in a simulated reality and that the universe some of us claim to be infinite or absolute could be explained from a reductionist state.

I remember you showing me that reading. It's quite fascinating.

Come to think of it... I should probably post my views as well

Basically, you can't rule out the possibility. It's a reasonable sort of likely.

The real question is, does it matter? Are we any less real this way? I don't think it matters, not as long as I can say I AM.

Remember the man in the movie who wanted to get back into the Matrix?

I figured this was the perfect occasion to bring it up again

It is not just a possibility it is a certainty...

Actually it makes us very much real indeed since reality on any form is just code (data) in execution.

The movie (trilogy) was just an attempt to try to describe how things are but even when not in the physical matrix one (the man) still is in a matrix since the cosmos et al is a digital (binary) construct or network (aka matrix) very much like the Internet.

Well, since space is a wavelength all frequencies are indeed all super-imposed on top of each other, just like TV, radio and cell phone channels...
smile.png

So inner space limit is F=infinity (zero walength, or a zero-point) and outer space limit is F=0 (infinite wavelength or a flat line) - no heart beat...

And what makes you say that?

Or a matrix inside of a matrix inside a matrix, boom! ... Bam!

Indeed, once you have one simulated reality there is no reason why there shouldn't be another inside it.

Because Yang = 1 and Yin = 0...

Yet again, since reality on any form is just code (data) in execution and since space is a wavelength, all reality carrier frequencies (3D reality channels) are indeed all super-imposed on top of each other, just like TV or radio signals, but in 3D...

So yes, and just like it was clearly suggested on inception reality is indeed layered...and inner space carriers (higher frequencies, of course, have a lot more bandwidth. So an entire uni-verse can also theoretically be stored in a zero-point (of infinite frequency - or inner space limit). Wireless 101...

Or:

Yang = Positive & Yin = Negative...

=

Yang = +1 & Yin = -1 / Yin + Yang = Zero...

Actually the execution of binary code in the physcial realm is indeed a Trinity (+1, -1, neutral)...and, of course, Trinity loves The One...

Either case it is/was indeed the one (1) that creates/created the zero (0) by negating itself: +1 - 1 = 0...
