Do you act different around your boss?

Hey!



When you are working, do you act differently around your boss? Like for example, if you know your boss is around, do you work hard than if they weren't around?



For me, I don't do this because where I work, I know where my boss is at any given point, so I really can't get away. Besides, I don't do anything that he wouldn't approve of anyway.

No, I'm pretty much the same all the time. And, at last count, I have 12 actual 'bosses'.





Besides, unless the boss is a total dolt, they can tell when somebody is playing work.

I can't say I do as I am who I am regardless of who I am with and I found that I have never had a problem with any bosses not liking me for the person I am. It doesn't speak well when you have to be different people depending on who you are with at that moment. Wouldn't it speak to a problem with you or with the people you are with when you need to create a fake persona for when you are around person X, Y, or etc.?
