The ancient concept of karma is far more complex that simply "what goes around, comes around" or "you reap what you sow"
...but you get the basic idea.

Do you believe in karma? Why or why not?

Yes. I believe in the 3 fold law. One of the few things from Wicca that I took on.

What ever you do comes back to you 3 times over. Good or bad.

That goes back way further than "wicca".

In fact, the basic concept behind that general idea is one of the oldest 'religious themes' on this planet.

I am more than willing to ride herd on this topic, as long as "she who must be obeyed" doesn't drop the hammer on it as a Religious Discussion.

Which, to be fair, it is. BUT! it transcends all definitions of "doctrines and denominations" and goes back into that misty past of the Ancients maybe even further to be discussed around Cro Magnon campfires.

And, yes, I am serious.

Yes, I do and it's been proved to me many times.

Wasn't saying it came from wicca originally but I learn't it from wicca when I was into that as a kid. Soon moved on to heathenry though.

Ohh and I actually have "THE BHAGAVADGÎTÂ" in book form ;)

"Heathenry" sounds so much better than "modern pagan".

But, you do still believe in karma, which demands that some sort of Ultimate Cosmic Intelligence 'keeps score' and repays intentional acts of evil in kind three times over.

Heathenry to me is Norse Paganism. But ive taken some of what i learnt as wiccan and incorporated it into my own beliefs. And if you want to mock me go ahead I dont care.

I'm sorry if you took my comment as 'mockery', it was not.

Far be it from me to take the sincere beliefs of another person lightly.

However, the renaming of an ancient theology in 'modern terms' is fair game.

Now, as for your taking attractive bits of Wicca, which incorporates parts of the various Celtic Druid beliefs and painting them with the Norse system, which has more than its fair share of the Greek gods and legends in them, and then making it your own is admirable.

And a good example of the truism:

"Every one of us creates GOD in our own image."

Ok, I'll let you off then lol.

Yes i believe in reincarnation too.

Very good.

But there are two traditional styles of the idea. And they are mutually exclusive in most schools of thought. And I am curious as to which a Norse Wiccan would subscribe.

One being that your 'essence' is something of a student in a universal school and as it passes through various lives it 'learns lessons' and once it has reached a certain level it will 'ascend' into a higher and hopefully better state of existence.

The other is that 'souls' are simply endlessly recycled through various bodies and have been since life was invented and will be until the sun explodes, and when its done, 'we' are done.

I'm not Wiccan. I was into Wicca for about a year, I never believe in one god and one goddess.

I personally believe that my soul is reincarnated however many times until it has learn't enough and is ready to join my ancestors in Valhalla.

Do i believe in karma......oh yeah....big time. Most times in my life things good or bad have all come back to either kiss or kick people.
And it's bitten me in the ass a time or two as well.
There have been a few times when i " delivered " the karma good or bad to those that deserved it.

Those who say it does not exist do not know what they're talking about.

It is even mentioned 'by kind' in the New Testament.

For instance:

Galatians 6:6-8 (KJV)
Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
