Do you have any scars? How did you get them?

I slipped on ice and tore a tendon in my right ankle. I have a very faint 4 inch scar from the tendon repair surgery.

I have a scar from an operation for appendicitis. I also, have one on my foot as my sister gouged a lump from my foot with her toenail

I also have on on my index finger from cutting my finger open with a knife >_< That hurt

I got two little scars on my forehead. One is more like a dented scar. And I got it back when I was younger. Basically I had been turning around in circles and once I stopped, I was dizzy and fell on this big old time like stove thing that was in the front room. The other little scar, I got a month back or so when I hit this file folder thing when I had bent over. Nearly knocked me over! o.0

Yeah, actually i have quite a few.

My nose is crooked because i smacked into a metal pipe that was rooting out of a house.

On the lower part of my thigh on my left leg, i have a tissue scar because i fell and got a huge splinter go through my thigh.

My front tooth is part chipped because i slipped and landed on my desk with my top jaw.

• I haz scars everywhere. I have one that goes up the whole back of my leg (well the calf part) because of a bike accident last year. I have another on my other leg because I was bit by a wolf when I was younger.
  
• I have a scar on my finger because when I was little I was running and my hand got caught by a big piece of glass that was going to be used for a new window at my grandmas house. Cut a nice chunk out. Ouch
  
• I have a circle type scar on my other hand. When I was like 12 or 13 my dad's friend held my hand down and put his cigarette out into my hand.
  
• I have a big scar where my appendix were taken out.
  
• I have one on my foot. My uncle's house had these weird stairs.. They werent like traditional stairs you would find an a typical house, each stair was like a single board covered in carpet.. I was running up the stairs once (when I was a kid) and my foot got caught under one of the stairs and one of the nails or staples underneath (that was holding the carpet in place) dug right into my foot.

When I was a kid I was walking up the icy steps with my hands in my pocket. I slipped and fell hitting my chin right on the corner. Basically it ripped a gash in my skin and started bleeding, you could see the bone.



I went to the doctors and they said I was loosing too much blood that they didn't have time to numb me. So my Mama just told me, If you move, they have to do it again! So stay very still!!!



So I froze and didn't move but screamed the whole time.



So to make a long story longer, I had the stitches in for some time, then they were removed. Now there is a light scar on my chin from where it happened and the bone below it is bumpy rather than straight from chips missing in it...



Let's see... I think that's the only one worth tellin' about...

I have one. I have a scar after surgery. It's a big one, too.

I have a big one on my right fore-arm from an operation. I broke my arm in 3 places and they had to put it a metal plate with 5 screws.

I one time got a splinter in the back of my thigh, it had to be taken out by a doctor surgeon guy. I have a scar there. There's also one on my foot where i cut it on my bed one time...

I have many scars, unfortunately. All surgical related. 3 open heart surgeries when I was little, so I have several scars in various places on my chest, I had a sort of double surgery in 2007. I had a hysterectomy done (and I don't regret that surgery in the slightest! Not missing those monthly stomach cramps at all... the ladies here will know what I'm on about) and at the same time, since everything was being done in the same area, I also had my appendix taken out as well. So that was a double whammy right there. I never had any pains down where the appendix was before I had the surgery for it, but I'm guessing that while the dr's were working on that area during the surgery for my hysterectomy, they decided to do the appendix as well before that created complications, which would only make sense. Numerous cutdowns, mostly on my wrists, I think that was from IV's and stuff I've been on... so yeah, I have quite health history when it comes to scars.

I would probably die if I had to have surgery of any kind.

I freak out about things like that. A while back I had to have a scope go down my throat to look at my stomach and look around because they thought I had ulcers. They said they were going to put me under for it. I freaked, and honestly thought I was going to die...



Just before they put me to sleep I asked the nurse if anyone had ever died having this done, and she said, Oh one guy, but he was really really old, you'll be fine.

You don't tell someone that when they're freaking out!!!



My parents came in and were like, We'll see you when it's over.



I kept thinking, If I'm alive when it's over. I had seen too many medical shows where people died just from the drug the doctors used to put them to sleep alone. My parents really shouldn't have let me watch medical mystery shows and car crash shows. They paranoid me like crazy!!!



The nurse noticed my heart rate getting higher, and higher, and higher, from how bad I was panicing so she said, We better put you to sleep now...



...out I went...



Obviously I lived and I paniced for nothing, but my gosh, if i had to go through that!!! I feel so bad for you.

Only one and it's on my right foot (I'm unable to ice skate or do any roller blading) Very sensitive to anything hitting the arch of my foot. Not to mention my ankles collapse at least twice or more a day, which makes me not want to walk at all, haha. I had surgery when I was six because of a condition that we later found out could have went away on its own.

I have a scar on my elbow. It was from riding my bike and crashing while going down a hill. It rubbed the pavement pretty bad, leaving a scar.
