I tend to attract the kind of people who stick around for maybe a day, then abandon me- these people have careers, study at colledge, traveled the world, I've not done any of that stuff

I don't do anything about it. at the end of the day, I am who I am, and I'd rather just stay true to myself than lie to keep friends

I guess I could say I'm the boring friend, but not entirely.
The people I hang out with these days don't do much either, similar to me.
So if we're all alike, then no one is truly boring.

I'm sure to some I am boring, however not everyone is your cup of tea. I tend to grey rock and make myself a bore when I dislike the company I am in. I can be interesting if I wish to be but it depends on whom I am around. As for my friends, they are wonderful on both their good and bad days as I will love them for who they are and not wish to change them. Boredom is a normal phase in friendship like all the other emotions. You grow together and everything moves. I have learned that the so called boring people are either shy or just taking it all in. I tend to gravitate to these people when in a crowd because I am the opposite and feel I can help these people be more comfortable. Sometimes I don't though, as it depends on how much energy I want to give out. I will say for those of you who have said you are the boring person, don't change yourself. You will find your crowd so long as you keep putting yourself out there to experience life. Don't hide away. The world needs the quiet ones to balance the obnoxious ones we all see in every group. Lol

And when things get boring around here, I locate the emergency kit and make sure I have extra batteries for the radios and flashlights and that there's a spare bottle of bourbon in the cabinet because they WILL be needed.

Then I go out and take the truck to the gas station and fill up the tank.

The definition of boring now seems to be not getting into trouble. I’ll prefer such boring friends anytime, and I am super boring as well.

I don't have a lot of friends because I am very selective as who is in my inner circle. But yes I do have 1 boring friend and she drives me nuts. My girlfriend is also jealous of her (the friend is good looking) and it can cause tension. But the boring friend is not good at taking a hint and won't go away. Believe it or not, I am quite polite in RL when it comes to women so cannot tell her to take a hike. If it was a male friend I'd tell him to f**k off and get a life.
