Not anymore. If anything, I'm bad for agonizing over whether a purchase is worth it. I was not always like that, occasionally pouncing on new books, games, or records the moment I saw them on the shelf. But age, wisdom, whatever have mellowed me.
I've gotten much better with it as I grew up but when I was younger I was very impulsive with my buys and would buy a lot more for likes and wants than needs. Now I spend more on my needs and a lot less on my wants. Plus if it's something that I was that's expensive I will make sure that I have money set aside for that expense before I go out and buy it. I've also adapted the 3 for 1 thinking where if I can't afford 3 of something I can't afford one of them. (Unless we're talking about a house or car of course.)
