As a kid, I enjoyed playing Snakes and Ladder, Ludo, and Chess with my father, uncle, aunts, cousins, siblings, and friends. When I passed that age, I stopped playing board games. However, during the lockdown in 2020 and 2021, I started playing board games and I really enjoyed these games.
Do you still play board games?

I love Scrabble, Monopoly, and Life. But since we moved, we have less space and no table to set them up on!

Was it Backgammon? That's apparently one of the oldest known board games.

That confuses me now, they claim board games are 200 BC but Backgammon the oldest game in existence is 5,000 years ?

I love to play Chess, Scrabble, and Monopoly but I don't have too many friends who like to play those games with me.

1931 rapid rating is impressive.
Wow!
I'm only in the 1500's.

My favorite game is Chinese checkers because my Grandma and I use to play that constantly.
I really don't play board games anymore though except for the sporadic chess.
If you want we can play a few games, i'm a speed chess addict but will accept challenges with other time controls.

Hmm.....not sure!! I also love Chess.

I used to but we just haven't really played any board games recently. Monopoly was always a fun board game to play together because everyone would be competitive. No idea where our Monopoly set is, to be honest, so I'll probably have to try and find it soon.

My family loved Monopoly when I was a kid. As an adult, my g/f still play it. I bought her a "Supernatural" themed set (from the TV show). :)

Nice. It's actually crazy to see so many different versions of Monopoly now. I've always only been interested in the normal ones though. The one with the bank cards looks amazing.

My g/f and I purchased the "electronic banking" version. It's awesome!!
