Depends on what you need.
If you need a companion and a guard, dog is an obvious choice.
If you need a worthless parasite who does nothing but eat, sleep and ruins your furniture, cat is an obvious choice.

I like both but I think dogs are better. Maybe I'll adopt one, one of these days.What does everyone think is better? Dogs or cats?
