I finally got to see this movie last night. And from vague recollection. I had heard quite a few comments on how terrible it was. Now while they didn't exactly keep to a lot of elements in the Anime. I thought it was pretty decent. What about you guys?

When you're a fan of the anime, you realize just how awful it was.

When you don't know the anime very well or are not a fan you typically enjoy it.

They advertised the show to be a live action version of Dragon Ball, which I was syked for until I actually started looking into the show.

There were hundreds of points I could discuss that were horrible, but I'll just tell you the biggest one.

Goku is the Main Character!

In the actual show he was a happy child who always saw the bright side of things. Nothing ever got to him and he was basically a hilarious and funny innocent kid that you got to watch beat the crap outta bad guys. Which equals epic awesome!

Though, in the movie he was a depressed angsty teen who had this whole horrible vibe about him. Which equals epic failure!

...how do movie makers go that far astray!?...

Clearly the writer was not a big DB fan...

I felt so let down by this film, I was expecting something great and it failed to deliver.

While it wasn't entirely faithful to the Anime. I did find it to be a decent watch.
