Anyone ever watch DBZ? What was your favorite season / saga?

I liked season 3, the Frieza saga.

Hi, first of all i never liked Dragon Ball, i always thought it was pretty lame, even back then when i was a child. I prefered shows like Sakura Card Captors or Yu-gi-oh, specifically at that time i was so into Rurouni Kenshin and gundam wing.

What can i say? it was the same. Fights, deaths, revivals.. more fights, more deaths and more revivals.

The style of drawing is the only thing that was very interesting of this show for me.

I don't like Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Super. DBZ had so much bad animation and filler that I only liked watching the fight scenes. I guess it never occurred to me that I wasn't into the show for it's story. I just thought Goku , Vegeta, Frieza, and Cell looked cool.

Yes! I read the manga and watched the anime even though I didn't know it was an anime in the beginning. I always just thought it was a really mature cartoon on Toonami. It wasn't until I got older that I realized what it actually was. I was a big fan of Dragon Ball Z and I think GT was the worst thing to come to the series. I was glad that Super has done wonders to bring redemption and introduce a whole new generation to the masterpiece.

Yeah, animation was really poor, DB Super is even worse than Naruto in that department as well.

The concept was ridiculous too, a "time chamber" to train for a year that in real time that equals a day? lol they just wanted to build a scenario of a super overpowered villain and to fabric some deaths and make the fans cry a bit for their favs.

As someone who's never watched any Dragon Ball before, where do I start and in what order do I watch them?

Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball Z
Dragon Ball Super

Dragon Ball GT wasn't done by Akira Toriyama so it's not canon to the franchise.

Thank you very much for the ordered list.

A lot of fans point out that this scene alone had the best animation in the entire DBZ series. What do you think?

The animators went mad hard on that ep, shows why 3D or current style won't match past stuff.

I don't like 3D animation at all. To me that's garbage anime. They did that with Ghost in the Shell and that was so laughably bad.
