Electronic Arts' revival of its college football series has kicked off with a bang. The publisher announced on Friday that *EA Sports College Football 25*, which officially launched that day, has already attracted over 2.8 million players, with 2.2 million of those paying for early access.
The $99.99 Deluxe Edition of *EA Sports College Football 25* offered three days of early access, resulting in a significant player base even before the game's official release. EA's news release also noted that an additional 600,000 players accessed the game through EA Play, which provides an early trial version of select Electronic Arts titles.
Besides the deluxe standalone version, EA is offering a $149.99 MVP Bundle that includes the deluxe editions of EA Sports College Football 25 and Madden NFL 25, along with other in-game perks like virtual currencies. This bundle is a great deal for football fans who would otherwise spend around $140 purchasing both games separately.
On Tuesday, when the early access period for EA Sports College Football 25 began, in-game statistics revealed more than 700,000 concurrent players online. By Friday, after the official launch, concurrent player counts were approximately 550,000.
According to Circana (formerly NPD), EA Sports College Football 25 ranked third in U.S. daily active users on Xbox (behind Call of Duty HQand Fortnite ), and fourth on PlayStation 5 (behind Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Grand Theft Auto 5) during its early access period. This data was shared by Mat Piscatella, executive director and video game industry adviser.
