Elevator Music

Does anyone remember music in an elevator? I don't.

But Blues Brothers used elevator music perfectly. Therefore "The Girl From Ipanema" is the only elevator music I can think of.

I'm not absolutely sure, but I'm thinking that it might have been the beginnings of what's called BGM now; they just don't do that in elevators any more. My son recently used the term (acronym) BGM on me.....I say what the heck does that mean?......it's Back Ground Music. You hear that now in some offices, waiting rooms, etc.

I grew up in a land of mostly one or two story buildings. Not many elevators around. I did get in one every once in a while and there was music.
