As usual this is a political game. The public doesn't care because theres nothing to care for. It is quite obvious that both sites in the end will agree to something. The Republicans are trying to pull the its my way or no way game which wont work. Also as usual, the media tries to make this a big deal while the public knows its bull. If it was a big deal the public would pressure republican leaders to negotiate properly or they wont be reelected.
