These points are made every year and it doesn't have to be summer for most of what was mentioned in the eleven dangers, how does driving under the influence or heart issues or even fireworks specifically point to summer. Its utter nonsense and fireworks hazard or accidents are caused by human error no summer is needed for that to happen if anything they are more likely to happen on the 4th of July, Bonfire night and new years.

Golf cart injuries hmm okay sure but what about water activities people do water activities at any time in the year.

Water park illnesses okay fair enough but people go to water parks a lot any way summer or no summer granted in times of heat people go to pools more but you can get ill from bacteria at a pool or water park any time of the year. And lightning strikes really, let me just quote this from the article.

Warm weather doesn't always encourage time outdoors - thunderstorms occur more often in the summer than in any other season, It maybe true that there are more thunderstorms in summer but if people are not going outside more during them how is this a summer danger.

And now back to the issue of driving under the influence I understand that people party more during the summer but if people want to drink and drive that's there choice no need to blame the weather for someone's shortcomings as a person. And may I also point out is any one can manage not to cook food properly and get food poisoning.

The only real danger that is associated with summer, sun or heat is tanning.

Wow cbs really will just post crap nowadays won't they.
