This evil man should be wearing a NAZI SS uniform everywhere he goes. Just pure evil promoting death panels. If you feel fine, you probably are…

It’s a new year, and perhaps you’re thinking about calling your doctor to make an appointment for your annual physical. Don’t, writes oncologist Ezekiel J. Emanuel in the New York Times.

“From a health perspective, the annual physical exam is basically worthless,” he says.

Studies have found that routine doctor visits—those that are not related to a specific complaint—don’t reduce mortality overall (or from causes like cancer and heart disease), and many experts don’t recommend “checkup”-type exams.

But what about cancer? Well, there are two kinds of cancers, those that will kill you and those that probably won’t. In either case early detection is of little or no value.

As one doctor explained it to me, you have two patients with a lethal cancer, one aged 40 who has no symptoms and another aged 43 with definite symptoms.

Both are diagnosed with cancer and treatment is started. In the end both die at age 45. So did the asymptomatic patient live longer from date of diagnosis than the other guy? Statistically yes, but practically speaking, no.

Early detection simply gives the health industry more time to transfer your savings into their bank accounts.

Much of the advancements in cancer treatment is just an illusion created by statistical manipulation.

Now if you already have a chronic condition you’re being treated for, like high blood pressure, a yearly visit is of course a good idea. The doctor can monitor your progress and adjust your medication accordingly.

Despite the claims of ObamaCare, it’s going to become increasingly important for patients to become discriminating users of medical services.
