A mum-to-be was left outraged after Facebook threatened to ban her pregnancy photo.
Erika Sepulveda, who is nine months pregnant with her first child, posted the image over the weekend on her private page, but was shocked to receive a message from Facebook two days later saying it was being reviewed because of nudity.
The 31-year-old had the pictures taken professionally by Matt Ware Photography in Melbourne.
In the series of black and white shots, she’s seen in profile, posing naked, with her hands across her breasts and bump.
Erika told Daily Mail Australia: ‘I actually felt really excited to share such intimate and special photos of this sacred time. My profile is on private and only friends would have seen it.’
But, after being notified by Facebook that the pictures were being investigated for nudity, she says: ‘I was so shocked. It’s sad to think we allow terrorist bloody photos, violence, crime, animals being punished and boobs and bums are showcased everywhere.
‘But a photo of a pregnant woman ripe and ready to birth a child, which is so normal, is offensive? It’s just crazy,’ she adds.
Do you think this photo is offensive?
