An internet-enabled jacket which inflates to give the wearer a hug every time a Facebook friend likes a status update or photo has been developed.

The specially designed Like-A-Hug jacket inflates when the wearer's mobile phone sends a signal after a page or status has been liked on the social networking site.

The vest's creators say the invention allows us to feel the warmth, encouragement, support, or love that we feel when we receive hugs.

Your thoughts on this?

*facepalm/head shake.* Really? Are you serious bro? Why get a hug from a jacket of all things when you can get the real thing from someone? Like yesterday, I got a hug from a friend of mine who I hadn't seen in a long while. THAT made my day yesterday. This little invention is something I doubt would make for the same happy feeling. Besides, who's to say this thing wouldn't malfunction and wind up squeezing you to death somehow?

This'd be highly depressing if no one likes your stuff.

Bit of a weird idea really, whatever floats your boat I guess.

I think it'd run out of power trying to create that much pressure
