Who was your favorite teacher from school? How did they influence your life?

I don't have an exact favorite.

One of my favorites was Ms.Hurst she was an awesome teacher! She didn't make us do too much and she was really fun and very laid back. She was just awesome!

Also my old art teacher ms.Kern, she was really kewl and fun. She also liked my art and saw that I really changed as an artist from 9 grade to 12th.

My favorite is my AP United States History teacher from this year. He prepared us perfectly for the AP tests, has some awesome stories he's told us, does some fun stuff every once in awhile, we are always working but it never feels that way. He controls the classroom with a strict hand, and yet his room still has a comfortable atmosphere. He is an inspiring lecturer and when we are working in class he will turn up the music on his media cart. He has slides from every single civil war battlefield (he's visited them all) and he loves fly fishing.

This man is truly awesome.

Mrs. Freer. She was my 8th grade Teacher and I adored her. She gave me 1st copy of To Kill a Mockingbird. I literally wore it out. It simply fell apart in my hands one day.

The school I attended was about 3 blocks from a beautiful park and on sunny, warm days Mrs. Freer hated being stuck inside. She'd have a few of the boys go get balls, mitts and bats and we'd all walk to the park and play softball. This was back in the day when you didn't need legal documents to take a kid out of school.

What an amazing lady she was.

My parents put me in rich private schools so all I had in my schools were mean teachers

I had three favorite teachers: Mr. Dietz (My art teacher from junior and senior years) Mrs. Blair (9-12 grade resource room teacher) Mrs. Rispa (12 grade English Teacher) and Mrs. Shuley (12 grade Modern Business Technology Teacher). Okay, make that four. But they were all really fun to be around, they made learning fun, and well, they were just great teachers. What's hilarious is that Mr. Dietz was my only male teacher. All my other teachers were females. Oh yes, my 5th favorite teacher was Mrs. McKay, who taught life skills. Had her... 10th through 12 grade if I recall correctly.

Coach Dunnavent. He was awesome! Called my parents to compliment me. Also, he was really good at teaching English in a way you could understand.

My all time favorite teacher would have to be Mrs. Horner. She was the best English teacher ever - everyone thinks so. She taught me 7th and 8th grade English and Reading...my favorite teacher. She died in November '07...was the saddest night of my life. My mom came in and told me and I cried for hours...called my best friend and we cried on the phone together for at least an hour.
