Fighting positions: offensive, defensive or balanced?

For me, I tend to be balanced when playing fighting games, though I'm more inclined to offensive position.

Depends. When fighting the computer, I'm all-out offense. When fighting another human, I defend for a while to figure out their patterns.

I tend to be conservative on defensive tactics, and have an aggressive attack on the offensive side of fighting. Whatever the case, I have to stay balaced based on the difficulty. On easy difficulty, I tend to be defensive. On moderate, I have the option to attack or defend first. On hard difficulty, I must attack aggressively.
