Figs.

They’re more than just a sweet and chewy treat. figs have been around for ages and have played a significant role in various cultures.

Figs come in an array of colours, from deep purple to golden yellow, and feature a unique texture that's soft with a slight crunch from the seeds.

They’re also packed with nutrients like calcium, potassium (which helps with blood pressure) fiber, and magnesium.

Are you a fan of figs, or do you prefer to skip them?

I seem to have permanent memories of Grandma's fig tree; the fresh figs were so delicious & I favor fresh, uncooked, but those are near impossible to find around here. :(

There are so many varieties of figs, and I agree it’s hard to find really good ones:(I guess once you’ve had figs straight from the tree, all others just don’t compare.

My favourites are the ones that are such a deep, dark purple that they almost look black.
