Fixed vs. Variable Schedule

Whether it's work or life in general, do you prefer a fixed schedule where you do the same things at the same time each week, or do you prefer to have each week change?

I like a routine and to work the same schedule everyday so I can have a sense of normalcy, be able to plan ahead for things and sleep right.

I'm gonna go with fixed to an extent. I like coming home and doing relatively the same thing each day, but my schedule isn't very fixed aside from when I tutor. I work retail, and I am available a few days out of the week for open to close. The other days, except for Monday's when I'm not available, are scheduled more toward the morning/afternoon. So that means I get a random schedule dependent on the need of the business, and my hours can be cut on a daily basis.

On weekdays the routine is ALWAYS the same here. I start attending courses at 07:30 and return home between 12:00-15:00.
