I was saying the same thing a couple days ago. When I was watching the debate recently they barely gave Ron Paul a word in edgewise. And I admit he had some good things to say at the debate when they asked him about international diplomacy but whenever he speaks it's like this: Ron Paul just spoke, let's go to a commercial break.

Afterwards when they were discussing the debates they didn't mention Ron Paul. No soundbites, no pictures, no videos, not even a mention of him like he was not even there!

Besides being a pathological liar (which is almost a job requirement), Mr. Newt is unelectable on a national scale and has this odd tendency to self destruct. He's already come close a couple of times in this campaign, give him a chance and he'll get it right yet. Yes he is an intellectual, but he is also so inherently crooked he has to put his hat on with a socket wrench, something that is almost another job requirement, but can also hurt somebody running on family values.

Ron Paul is also his own worst enemy, but for a different reason, Dr. Paul is almost too honest. He answers the questions with what he is actually thinking and means what he says. Something that is Krytonite to anybody on this level. Instead of the pabulum that most candidates feed the public, he makes you think. Most voters in the national election don't like to think, which also explains reality TV and sit coms.

Santorum comes off as too aloof and superior. It would suit him better if he were a Democrat. On the Right, it leaves a bad taste in people's mouths, even if they agree with him.

As for Romney. If he were from almost any other state outside of New England, with the sole exception of California, he would be a Democrat.

The best overall candidate may have been Mr. Cain. But being a Successful Black Conservative was something that simply could not be tolerated by the national media, and they went trolling for anybody that he had ever looked at crosseyed to make every accusation against him that they could think of until he imploded. As to whether he actually did anything improper with anybody is totally irrelevant.
