Do you think that Footballers are overpaid?
I certainly think that certain footballers are overpaid like Gareth Bale considering he is not worth that amount and would be better spent on solving world hunger etc.

As such there's no such thing as overpaying. There is, however, no way I would pay that much for someone to play a game. I don't think I'd pay anyone to play anything.
As for that money being better spent on problems, well, sure. But that's not gonna happen because of, you know, profitability. It's a shame, but there's nothing for it. At least they spend quite a lot of the money they get.

Calvin Johnson is currently the highest paid player in Michigan sports.

He got paid the same as the highest paid driver in NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt Jr.

It is ridiculous how much they get paid. There are definitely other careers that deserve to be paid more as they actually contribute to society, doctors, nurses etc.
