Who is the worst person you have been forced to work with (or hang out with)?

Tell us about this terrible person.

I had to sit by a co-worker that talked, and laughed, way too much, for about three years.

Every aspect of his personal life, his kids, his ex-wife, his former job, his time in the navy, everything, was subject to extended conversation and review.

He would get upset with me because after a two hour talkstory about his weekend he'd ask me what I did, and I'd say, "went to church yesterday", he'd say something like 'that's all?' and, I'd answer "pretty much", no matter what had happened.

I'm stuck with this old lady in an office who hates my guts. I spend about 9 hours a day, but we never talk anymore. We don't really work in the same department together, although our offices are conjoined. She is a title clerk. I work with service customers, answer the phone, and do some paper work in the office. So the less she and say to one another, the better off we both are.

Any idea why she doesn't like you?

I just honestly don't think this co worker and I respect one another. We don't know each other and I think the problem is her's. Every now and than she's nice. There's some times this uncomfortable silence. Its one of those in-between space where you might have done something wrong or been wronged, but don’t say anything.

I have been given a few harsh lessons in my time and come away realizing that the freedom that comes from talking about an uncomfortable truth is better than the comfort of avoiding that talk altogether.

It could be that I call bs when I see it. She and I have argued before because she is a dramatic self worthless individual who acts like her problems are worse than every one else's. She uses time as a reference that she's been around longer and dealt with things that were worse to say that you don't have a problem. She acts like everyone should pity her when the truth is, people talk smack about her all of the time.

Things seem to be falling apart for her. She's talked about quitting because management fired a few of her friends and it really pissed her off. I honestly don't think its just me though. She's treated several people the same way.

We're all just waiting for her to leave.
