Fourth Of July

I was supposed to be in Florida but I had to cancel as I couldn't afford the trip.

Since I couldn't go, I gave back my vacation weeks and will save them for some other time. Winds up that I will be working just like I have very year.



My town will be having a firework display Tuesday night. Luckily, I am off and am planning on going with some friends. They shoot the fireworks over the lake off barges and it's really spectacular!



Do you have any plans for the Fourth of July?

Never cared much for fireworks. If I want colors, I can just look at rainbows... and that's free. I care more about the political importance of the date. I know, boring, right?

I was going to color some eggs and put them around a roast turkey and hang some old socks over the fireplace. Then when everybody comes over give out some candy hearts and four leaf clovers and then watch the ball drop on TV before the kids come over dressed up as Batman and Uncle Sam.

A friend of mine came down from Chicago, we bbq'd some stuff, and as everything larger than a sparkler is illegal in Illinois, and pretty much everything is legal in Texas, we celebrated the nations birthday by blowing up a small portion of it.

For me, personally, I didn't do much of anything except that I have to help my mother pack stuff to move to a condominium by a shopping mall. I heard fireworks two nights after the U.S holiday passed.

We just went and saw fireworks. Nothing special. That's basically what we do every year. XD It was fun, though.
