For all my computer life, I have always used Microsoft FrontPage for creating webpages and I wonder what's the best free alternative. I've tried KompoZer but it was very confusing to use (then again I last used it three years ago) so I'm quite undecisive on which one to get instead of FrontPage, where I cannot find free downloads of that at all. If anyone can help, that would be grateful.

Forgot to mention, when I used FrontPage I always used the Design bit rather than the Code bit as I'm terrible at using HTML. I've downloaded the program you've suggested and it's quite straightforward to use, not confusing like KompoZer. Thanks a bunch

EDIT: While the program seems okay to use, I am annoyed that when I make changes to an existing webpage with it, it creates unnecessary spaces between bullet points and if there's Japanese, Chinese or text of another script used in the webpage, they're changed to question marks. I have no idea how that happened. I really miss FrontPage... and it looks like the free alternatives may not be as good as FrontPage but I don't know...

Maybe a Google search for Unicode HTML editor could find you something

It may be worth figuring out HTML, once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple. Plenty of sites to help you learn too. Like this one: http://w3schools.com/

I should note that I'm actually looking for a WYSIWYG HTML editor like what FrontPage was. That means you can create or edit a webpage with its basic editor which is what I need, and hides the HTML code when you work on it. KompoZer was one of them but I have my eye on SeaMonkey.
