Hello Everybody!
I wanted to take the opportunity, as I have a newly developed forum, to tell you about the FREE 10 Week Introduction to Web Design class we are offering. Below you will find the details to our program:
URL: Free Introduction to Web Design Class
*Note: I am not a certified instructor, however, I want to teach people who want to learn HTML5 and CSS. This is why this is a free class. I have put a lot of time and effort into this program so this program is for people who want to learn and are committed to doing so.
Overview:
This class is a 10 week class designed so that each student can successfully create a 6 page Website utilizing HTML5 and CSS. Each week the students will have an assignment with written instructions pertaining to their website creation. Please see what we plan to learn in the next 10 weeks below:
Registration Deadline: Sunday, February 2nd, 2014 by 11:59PM EST
Below please find the information about how the classes will work:
Grades:
~ Yes, there will be grades. Each week I will send out progress reports for the previously completed week. Each week I will add new grades. The entire course = out to 1000 points. Grades are based on the following things:
Seminars will be held via AnyMeeting every Monday evening at 8PM EST. These Seminars are live. Students will enter the seminar by clicking on a link provided to them each week, the seminar will last 60-90 minutes depending on any questions students may have.
Discussions:
Each week students will be required to post an initial discussion board response pertaining to the unit. They will be required to respond to at least 3 other students across 3 different days. Posts must be relevant and enhance the current discussion.
Assignments:
Each week there will be an assignment to be completed. For these assignments students must have a place to host a website. I suggestion x10Hosting as a free hosting site with free sub-domains as you can upload all of your files that you create during this class for free. Most assignments will pertain to creating your web pages for your website.
Final Project:
Student's final projects will consist of a 6 page Website coded with HTML5 and CSS3 and validated using http://w3.validator.org or another validation website.
If, after reading this, you think or feel that you could benefit from this Free Service, feel free to sign up and register for the class. I can only teach about 25-30 people at a time so space is limited to that. Once a class has been completed, there will be a 1 week grace period and another class will start.
Thanks and We hope to see you there!
