Do you think gaming is an addiction?

It’s all about the choices you make. You want to avoid it or do you want it to rot your brain? Gaming is not an addiction for me. I actually quit playing games. I see nothing to achieve in playing a game.

Gaming can be an addiction, but it really depends on your self-control. There's some people that can control themselves while playing games and others that can't where they end up playing a game for more than 10 hours. When I play games, I'm not hooked onto them.

To quote myself from the last time you made this topic:

I for one am not addicted, I like playing games but I don't have to.

Rot my brain? o.O

Who have you been talking to?

As for achieving something... well, no, obviously the point of a game is to have a good time beating it. If you're not having a good time beating it there's no point in playing it.

It's not that different from life I guess.

Gaming isn't necessarily an addiction by media representation however, it's something fun and amusing, numerously addictions are something that's a bad habit, and something obviously bad for you, gaming isn't any of those. I play video games for the same reason that I watch a movie, to be entertained, and honestly, I believe that video games are excruciatingly underrated in what particular aspect, they're art. The level designing and essential visuals of a game like Prince of Persia, Gears of War, God Of War, and numerous others are, well, beautiful.

Anything can be an addiction if you let it get out of hand. It's not a addiction for me

I play if I have time and am bored. But I can survive if I don't get to play everyday
