Gaming/MMO mouse

I recently started to get into the PvP (player versus player for non-gamers) side of Guild Wars 2 (the mmo I play) and noticed that a lot of gamers react extremely fast. While I'm sure part of that is training, I got the idea a lot of them use one of those MMO mouses.

I'm thinking of buying one of them myself because I'm tired of keyboard hand acrobatics.

Any of you have experience with a mouse like this? If so, do you prefer razer naga, logitech or another one?

The rest of you, what kind of mouse do you use for gaming?

I use a laptop touchpad. It works fine for me. I used to use a Microsoft Sidewinder.

I don't care for gaming mice that cost more than my computer is worth now.

Hehe, you actually game with a touchpad? If it were me I'd probably have destroyed the laptop in frustration if I had to do that for more than a day. xD

I've done it for years. You get used to it, and end up getting quite good in the process.

Hmm, still reaction speed would be worse than with a regular mouse no? At least for shooters and the like. That's why I'm buying one of those. My spell casting is just too slow on a keyboard to play the elementalist class on a competitive PvP level. Any other class in the game is fine, but that one... damn those F keys.

It's not much different than having to press 10 keyboard keys blindly (can't take your eyes off the screen).



Update on my mouse: I just bought the razer naga 2014 off amazon. It's the updated version of the screenshot in the first post. It cost quite a bit and I'm really hoping it's worth it. I'll let you know when they deliver it next Tuesday/Wednesday.

The mouse is really handy most of the time. The first day was hard as I was really not used to playing with my thumb, further more because it's my right hand and I'm a lefty, but in the end I can see the improvement after a day already. I'm twice as fast, never looking at my skill bar anymore and can finally focus only on the enemy.

So owning PvP atm.
