Have you or will you hold a garage/yard sale this year?

Have you ever done one? Was it a profitable experience or a waste of time?

I've done them before, without much success. I have a lot of old stuff I don't really use anymore, but I'm not gonna go sell my old stereo for $10, even if it is pretty crappy. I mean, these things hold memories. I'd rather give them away to people who need them than sell them for $10.

I always love shopping around at garage sales though. :P

i don't have a garage, but plan to do a yard sale this coming . i've done them before, but never made much money. i do much better at flea markets with junk and my stonework.

jeff foxworthy says if you have more than one garage sale a year, you might be a redneck. :P

I went to one a few days ago and this stingy ass lady was charging way too much for her junk. My daughter wanted a doll there and it looked like something I'd pay $1 to $5 for at a garage sale and the lady wanted $20 for it.
:nono:

She was turning other people away who wouldn't pay her prices too.

LOL, $20 for a doll? Wow.

I once got not one, but two computers for $10 at a garage sale once. Granted, the CPUs were like 175mhz, but hey, that's not a half bad deal for someone like me who likes nostalgic stuff. Not sure I'd buy it now, but this was a good while ago.

I'd rather go to a thrift store. Basically an organised garage sale in a commercial building and they know what price to charge for 2nd hand/ used stuff. :)

I've never had a garage sale. I'll just donate to the goodwill.

I had a yard sale years ago, but had no success. I love going to them though. Valuable stuff can be found!

We often have garage sales, but I love garage sale. So many awesome things can be found, and some people don't know how much is truly worth. Like I got a leather jacket for $2.45
