So-called gay conversion therapy is ineffective and potentially harmful, the American Psychiatric Association has told Sky News.

Your thoughts?

From a religious point of view, any conversion 'therapy' that is forced or methodical coercion is harmful.

It should be the innate wish and want of the homosexual person to, not deny who he is, but choose how to live their life in accordance to their own faith they want to follow. If they want to follow a christian doctrine or any other religious doctrine that prohibits homosexuality, it is then the persons chosen path according to their own faith they choose to live without that aspect in their life.

I don't believe following a faith as such means you have to become 'straight' when obviously you are not. Choosing to live without being in a homosexual relationship is in my mind the same as not eating something you're allergic to, or choosing to be a vegan. Or even choosing to not marry (heterosexual or homosexual).

I think 'pretending to be what you are not' falls under the category of becoming a liar and nothing good comes from lying. I believe living a lie will interrupt ones relationship with God. 'Cause you know, lying is sinful, is it not?

Oh, Jesus.

(time passes)

... ... ...

Back in the Day it was standard practice to "Correct" school children who showed up for kindergarten or first grade and tried to write with their left hand.

There was something wrong with not being Right handed to the Educational Establishment.

The effort resulted in all sorts of ill effects.

The same was seen a few years ago when it was standard practice to medicate children who found it difficult to sit still to be indoctrinated in the approved classroom scenario by the next generation of those Educators.

We are now seeing the fruition of that effort as well.

Something tells me the above is playing in the same ball park.

Which, by the way, has NOTHING to do with religion, but everything to do with control and the inflicting of ones own will on others.
