How do you feel when you don't discover a particular artist until you're a certain age, and then all of a sudden you're checking out their history in the music business, and you realize you missed out on some really great stuff from their humble or awkward beginnings?
When I first discovered Michael W. Smith and started wanting to hear some of his older works, I was disgusted with myself for not getting into him sooner. After I started following him on Facebook and really getting into his career history, like his albums, movies he was in, books he'd written, etc, I used to get pissed and think, "Dang, this guy has some awesome stuff going on! Why didn't I discover him sooner?" Even though I've pretty much completed my MWS collection with the exception of probably 4 albums I haven't gotten yet, it still makes me mad to read reviews on old concerts, albums, whatever and think "What on earth was I missing out on?" Do you ever get mad at yourself for not discovering your favorite bands until later in life, or do you get to a point where you don't really care and just commence buying/downloading their new stuff?
