On a rainy Sunday the New York Giants scored a win against the San Francisco 49ers with the score 20 to 17. The New York Giants will now advance to Superbowl XVLI with the New England Patriots who had managed to win after a disappointing missed field goal by Billy Cundiff.

That gave the Giants the ball at the Niners' 24 in overtime with 9:32 left.[font=verdana, helvetica, arial, sans-serif] Lawrence Tynes then sent the Giants to the Super Bowl for the second time in his career with a 31-yard field goal.
