Do you wear glasses? Do you think people with glasses come off as more intellegent?

I do, but not all of the time. I don't think they come off as more intelligent, it's just something they have to wear to see properly.

I dont though. I dont wear glasses either, if I had to, I would get contacts.

Yeah, i will be getting contacts next time i go in, just that i was still growing lots and stuff when i needed glasses.

I have glasses. I would never get contacts becuase you'd have to poke your eye all the time, and it would feel wierd.



Aside from glasses making people look smart but they can also make someone look hot!

My best friend says that he although his wife wears contacts, he thinks she's awfully sexy in her glasses.

Why do you not qualify for eye surgery?

Cause of a problem with my pupils.

I went for a consultation for surgery. They did loads of tests and then after all that, I saw the surgeon who explained the outcome of the tests. And he refused to do the surgery as he said it could cause permanent damage to my vision. Which is fair enough, just not what I wanted to hear at the time!

Damn that sucks bro cos the surgery is actually kinda cheap in all reality. I mean, think of all the dollars you have to spend buying new glasses/contacts every 2 or 3 years.

Yeah but it doesnt always last forever. I'm hearing of a lot of people who are having to get it redone or go back to glasses, after about 10 years. I also know someone who had it go wrong for him.

I mean, I would have loved to have had it done. But it wasn't meant to be. There's a thing called an ICL now, implantable contact lens. I might be able to get that someday. It's still really new technology so I'm not interested just yet, I'll wait and see if there are any problems with it!

Started wearing glasses when I was ten. It was supposed to only be my reading glasses but my astigmatism started getting worse so now I'm wearing it all the time. I prefer glasses to to contact lenses though. If I wanna play sports I just take off my glasses, if I got SCUBA diving or snorkeling, I just take off my glasses.



The only downside in wearing glasses to me is not being able to find them when I wake up in the morning. Haha.

I do not wear glasses at all, but my mum does. She only wears them when reading, and she started wearing them about two years ago when her eyesight got a bit worse.

Nope, but that could change, because I'll be going to the eye doctor in about a week or so for a checkup.

Glasses don't indicate you're smart, but it does mean that you're smart enough to wear them since you can't see. Some people are too cool to wear glasses because they're afraid of looking dorky, but the real dork in the end is the one who makes a 65 just passing when they can't read the board in class.
