Japan has barely recovered from the Second World War when a gigantic peril emerges off the coast of Tokyo. Koichi, a deserter traumatized by his first confrontation with Godzilla, sees this as an opportunity to redeem his conduct during the war.

I've seen a lot of these back when I was a young boy / teen and even watched the newer stuff back in 2000. I think out of all of them, this one is still my favorite despite it being as old as it is.

I’ve seen it twice, such a great movie. Saw it last month in color and the re-released it in black & white in the theater so I went to go see it again.

Godzilla Minus One is AMAZING!!! If you loved classic Godzilla growing up, you will love this one too. It's sort of a prequel to the 1954 film made by TOHO, the company who makes all the Japanese Godzilla movies.

It is in Japanese with English Subtitles, so hopefully your reading skills are good.
