Gone without sleep

About 2 days. The doctor gave me some new medication for my seasonal allergies. I normally go to bed about 10 pm, but when that time passed and I wasn't tired and the sun started coming up in the morning and I was still up. I started wondering about the new med. I looked it up online and sure enough, a side affect was insomnia. Unfortunately I didn't realize it before I took the second pill. Needless to say.... I am not on that medication anymore.
