Oh, Chris, what a beautiful picture! Crystal clear and the Goose is so pretty.

Did the Goose "Goose" you for getting so close?

I wasn't that close :p Used my 70-200, y'know, this monster

But yeah, I like how the shadows separate sections of the path and the goose is right in the middle of one. Also making use of a large aperture to get a shallow depth of field by blowing out the background.
 
That's a heavy looking lens. Do you have to use a tripod? :unsure:
 
Too heavy for me. I'd never be able to keep the camera steady without using a tripod.
