I call it a “Swap” cover. It’s where you take the vocals of a song, turn it into the music. Take the music to create the vocal melody with your own lyrics. Getting permission from the artist of course, anyway what do you think of this idea? Do you think it could become a thing?

I think it could be a great idea... and it kind of reminds me of a trend that was all the rage a few years ago in which someone would mix a movie with the subtitles of another, creating an original experience with a huge tone shift.
