The Police.uk crime mapping website now features 37,000 points of interest in addition to streets, including parks, theatres, airports and motorway service stations. Some tourist attractions and upmarket shops have emerged as unlikely crime hot spots.

Many companies dispute the figures, claiming that they include crimes that took place elsewhere.

Analysis of the data by The Daily Telegraph shows there were 12,910 crimes reported at shopping centres in the run up to Christmas, 1,725 crimes reported at theatres, and 164 at theme parks.

Question: Do any of you live near or frequent any of the crime hot spots?
